 To My Friends and Neighbors...Happy July 4th! What a great day! I will spend time with the wonderful people in District 13 attending numerous picnics and parades. July 4th creates a strong feeling of community. I believe it is rooted in a shared appreciation for our country and the gratitude we each feel to live in the greatest country in the world. My grandparents were immigrants fleeing from religious persecution. This was the land of their dreams and aspirations. I am so grateful to them for their sacrifices and their belief that their lives could be better here in this country. They were right and I am the beneficiary. Of course we keep our servicemen and women, our police officers and firefighters in our thoughts and prayers. They make our freedom possible. Wishing you a wonderful July 4th. Ann Margolin

Free air conditioners, cooling centers for eligible residents During the hot summer months, Dallas County operates an emergency heat hotline. By calling 214.819.6001, eligible Dallas County residents over the age of 60 can receive delivery and installation of air conditioners, and learn about local cooling centers. |
